From Idea to Paying Users: Building CVFine Solo

I didn’t set out to build a startup. I was trying to solve a problem I kept seeing again and again.

Strong professionals. Great experience.
But…
Their profiles didn’t reflect their true value.
And that gap was costing them opportunities.
So I started building something.
Not a demo.
Not a landing page.
Not a “waitlist” idea.
A real system.
That idea became CVFine.
What CVFine is today
CVFine is a production AI talent intelligence platform.
Not a prototype.
Not a no-code experiment.
A fully deployed AI product , serving candidates and recruiters across:
👉 UK · US · UAE · India
What it actually does
At its core, CVFine solves one problem:
👉 How do you position your profile correctly for the roles you want?
Here’s how:
AI formats and scores CVs against real job descriptions
Match scoring shows candidates where they fit — and where they don’t
Identifies skill gaps before the market rejects you
88+ live AI career roles with structured data and SEO
Recruiter portal with AI matching + approval workflows
Freemium model: → 3 free runs → $10 unlocks premium templates
But the real story is how it was built
I built this alone. Using AI — not just as a feature, but as a development partner.
The full stack (end-to-end)
This is not a toy stack. This is production-grade architecture:
Azure Functions
Databricks (LLaMA 3.3 70B)
Cosmos DB
Azure Blob Storage + ADLS Gen2
Microsoft Entra External ID (Google OAuth + Email OTP)
Stripe (with VAT handling)
Resend Email
React frontend (Lovable Pro)
Cloudflare Workers (dynamic SEO rendering for bots)
PostHog Analytics
Azure Key Vault
The part most people underestimate
AI doesn’t fail at “AI”.
It fails at everything around it:
Authentication
Payments
Scaling
Data flows
SEO visibility
That’s where most projects break. So I built CVFine as a complete system from Day 1:
User → Upload → AI → Scoring → Output → Payment → Retention
What makes this real
✔ Real users
✔ Real payments
✔ Real data
✔ Real SEO
88+ pages indexed by Google
97+ discovered via Search Console
Cloudflare Worker serving pre-rendered HTML to AI crawlers
Full freemium → paid conversion flow
How I actually built it
This part is important. I didn’t do this the “traditional” way.
My daily stack looked like this:
Claude Code
GitHub Copilot
VS Code
Iteration → testing → deploy → repeat
AI wasn’t just powering the product.
👉 It was helping build the product.
What changed for me during this journey
I realised something: We’re moving from:
👉 “I need a team to build this”
to
👉 “I need the right systems to build this”
Where this is going
Right now, CVFine helps with:
CV generation
Role alignment
Career insights
But the vision is much bigger:
👉 AI layer for hiring
👉 Talent intelligence platform
👉 Profile → Role → Opportunity alignment
The solopreneur phase is over
This started as:
👉 A problem
👉 Then a prototype
👉 Then a product
Now it’s becoming:
👉 A business
If you’re building something similar
I’ve documented everything:
Architecture
Design decisions
Trade-offs
Mistakes
👉 Comment “cvfine” or reply here
I’ll share the full architecture + playbook.
And if you’re curious…
You can try it here:

Final thought : You don’t need permission to build anymore. You just need to start.
