Consulting for organisations
Microsoft Fabric and Power BI Consultants
Microsoft Fabric brings data engineering, warehousing, real-time analytics and Power BI into one platform. Fabric and Power BI consultants help you set it up properly, move existing workloads onto it, and give business users reports they can trust.
What the role does
They cover the full path from source data to decision: ingesting and shaping data in OneLake, modelling it into clean semantic models, and building Power BI reports that are fast, secure and easy to maintain.
Typical responsibilities
- Plan Fabric workspaces, capacities and the OneLake structure
- Build lakehouses, warehouses, Data Factory pipelines and Dataflows Gen2
- Design star-schema semantic models with well-tested DAX measures
- Use Direct Lake and incremental refresh where they suit the workload
- Build Power BI reports and dashboards with row-level security
- Set up deployment pipelines and Git integration for controlled releases
- Migrate from Azure Synapse Analytics, SQL Server Analysis Services or Power BI Premium capacities
- Diagnose and fix slow reports, heavy models and failing refreshes
